Climbing Mount Batur: For those who like their adventures with a side of awe-inspiring views, a sunrise trek to Mount Batur is a must. An active volcano, Mount Batur offers a challenging climb, but the reward is a breathtaking view of the sun rising over Lake Batur.

To climb this 1700m volcano it takes about two hours, and hiring a guide, which is mandatory, costs around 400,000 IDR-600,000 IDR(25USD - 40USD) or more per person depending on how well catered the tour is. These guides not only lead the way but also enrich the experience with local knowledge.

Surfing: Bali is renowned for its world-class surf spots. Whether you're a seasoned surfer or a newbie, Bali's waves cater to all levels. Beaches like Kuta and Uluwatu are not just surf spots; they're iconic destinations where the surf culture is as vibrant as the waves themselves.

There are plenty of Surf Schools around and in every beach you`ll find one quite easily. For beginners recommend the beaches north of Kuta (expect to pay around IDR500k - around USD$30 - for private lessons for the day, and board hires are usually around IDR50k - around USD$3 -for a couple hours). And if you`ve been surfing for awhile you don`t even need me to tell where to go right? 😎😉
